Please CALL your Congressman and urge them to support H.R.2702 – The Suspend Brazil GSP Act, which was introduced to the House of Representatives by Congressman Chris Smith on June 4, 2009. The bill would suspend the General System of Preferences with Brazil until it complies with the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction. GSP is a desired trade status which allows certain goods to enter US duty-free. Last year, Brazil gleaned free benefits on $2.7 billion worth of trade with the U.S. http://bringseanhome.org/hr2702.html
You can also continue to make a difference by calling your Senators and asking them to support U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg in urging the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to conduct hearings on compliance with the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Abduction of Children.

Missing Kids: The search for Lindsey Baum goes national (finally).
MCCLEARY, Wash. - Dozens of volunteers are taking back to the
streets and woods of this small Grays Harbor County town for a third
day in search for a 10-year-old girl who vanished Friday while walking
home from a friend's house.
They'll be joined by FBI agents who are lending their expertise and
experience in solving missing children cases. The FBI also will be
bringing in more law enforcement personnel to assist.
Lindsey J. Baum was last seen between 9 and 10 p.m. Friday when she
left her friend's home on Maple Street, where she had been visiting,
said Dave Pimentel of the Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office.
Lindsey was going to walk the four blocks to her home on Mommsen
Road, which is roughly a 10-minute walk. But something happened in that
short distance - Lindsey never arrived home.
Her mysterious disappearance has left police, family - along with
the whole town - affled and concerned at the girl's disappearance in a
town of 1,550 where everyone knows their neighbors.
The search is going national online as Lindsey's information is now on the front page of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children web site.
A wide-ranging search was launched early Saturday in the town and
the surrounding forests. The town was criss-crossed three times, but
not a trace of Lindsey has been found. Even bloodhounds failed to pick
up her scent.
Three times as many people joined the search on Sunday and many more
were expected Monday, as they scour areas that weren't checked earlier.
Police are hesitant to call the girl's disappearance a case of foul play just yet, but the girl's family fears the worst.
"I've tried to keep the thought of somebody grabbing her out of my mind," her mother, Melissa Baum, said Sunday.
She says Lindsey argued with her brother on her way to a friend's
house Friday night. She talked to her friend for a bit, then started
for home as darkness fell.
The friend's father, Scott Williams, said he asked Lindsey to go home before it got too dark.
"She was here 10, 15 minutes, and then, you know, we said, 'You
should probably get going before it gets dark,' and that was the last
we heard of her," he said.
Witnesses say Lindsey seemed normal as she headed out around 9:15.
Another friend even walked her part of the way, but Lindsey never
showed up at her home.

Missing Kids: Hope is not lost in searching for 17 year old BRITTANEE DREXEL.
Friends and family of a missing
Chili Teenager say they're doing everything they can to bring her home.
Brittanee Drexel was last seen on April 25th at a resort in Myrtle
Beach, South Carolina. Since then there have been no new leads, the
family hopes a new approach will pay off.
"I still hope she's alive, I do," said Brittanee’s Mother Dawn Drexel.
For
the last two months hope has kept Drexel going. After two months of
searching for her missing daughter in South Carolina Drexel is trying
something new.
"I'm staying home. If something happens, I'll head
back down there but it's only going to be for a couple of days," Drexel
said.
But Drexel and hundreds of others aren't giving up; they're reminding everyone Brittanee's still out there.
“Just getting the word
out there letting more people know what's going on and what they can
do," said Brittanee’s friend Lacey Inzana.
More
than a hundred people came out to "Fill the Dome to Bring Brittanee
Home" Friday night in Henrietta. An organizer said what was originally
a teen battle of the bands needed a greater purpose.
"Two
months ago my daughters came to me and said ‘daddy with all the people
you know can't you do something.’ And since then, I've been something.
I haven't done anything else but eat and sleep this event," said Event
Coordinator Chuck Lamagra.
Tee-shirts and
bracelets were sold to help keep Brittanee's image and name out there,
but the real goal was to raise money to help the help the family hire a
private investigator to keep this search going.
"We're hoping to make a donation that's a couple of decimal points the right way. As much as we can," Lamagra said.
Drexel said once Brittanee is found all the money raised will be used to help others families with missing children.
"It's just horrible not knowing you know," said Drexel.
So
far raising money appears to be raising spirits. Drexel said after two
months of searching any sign of optimism is a good thing.
"We as a family still hope she's alive. I mean it doesn't look good," Drexel added.

Missing Kids: The body of 2 year old Jada Justice has been found.
The gruesome details of Jada Justice's death were revealed Friday
when prosecutors charged the 2-year-old girl's cousin and her boyfriend
with murder.
Engelica Castillo, 18, and her live-in boyfriend, Tim Tkachik, 23,
of Hobart, also are charged with two counts of neglect of a dependent,
battery and false informing. Both were being held without bond in the
Lake County, Ind., jail.
Jada's mother, Melissa Swiontek, said Friday that she never thought
Castillo or Tkachik would harm her daughter. Prosecutors said Jada's
body was burned, encased in concrete and left in a LaPorte County
swamp. "They should have the same fate she had, if you ask me,"

T. Edward Page, Castillo's attorney, said his client is devastated
by her cousin's death and distraught because she's charged with killing
her.
Police said Jada was already dead when Castillo, her baby-sitter, reported her missing June 16.

Missing Kids: Sean Goldman is NOT coming home to the USA!!!
Ok, something is very wrong here. Earlier, a Brazilian Federal Judge issued a ruling ordering the return of Sean Goldman to the United States. David Goldman has left for Brazil to pick up his son when this comes across the wire.......
Minister Marcus Aurelius, the Supreme Court decided that the boy Sean
Goldman should stay in Brazil. The decision was the accusation of
breach of fundamental precept 172 and suspending the effectiveness of
the decision of the judge of the 16th Federal do Rio de Janeiro, which
had determined that the child was delivered by the 14h of this
Wednesday (3 / 6) to his biological father, the American David Goldman.
Marcus Aurelius says that the injunction granted to the ADPF, by PP,
not losing the object. The minister gave no details of its decision. He
said only that it was handwritten and included in the process.
The custody of Sean Goldman is disputed since the end of last year by
the biological father and stepfather, a lawyer João Paulo Lins e Silva,
who had temporary custody of the boy since the death of his mother. In
its ruling, the judge of the 16th Federal determined the "return" of
Sean to the U.S..
The boy Sean, according to the verdict, would be delivered to Karen
Andrade, an official of the U.S. consulate in Rio de Janeiro in the 48
hours. Until then, Sean should be monitored by agents of the Federal
Police.
